Kathleen E. Okon has experience defending employers in a range of employment law cases, including wage and hour class actions and employment discrimination claims. Kaytee has also worked with employers to perform due diligence in conjunction with mergers and acquisitions, and developing tailored employment and personnel policies to ensure compliance with applicable law(s) and mitigate legal risks. A zealous advocate for clients, Kaytee takes pride in her ability to provide creative approaches to resolve difficult legal and business problems.
Prior to joining Littler, Kaytee was an associate in the labor and employment practice group at a full-service Chicago law firm where she counseled and litigated on behalf of public and private companies in various industries.
Kaytee is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Illinois College of Law. During law school, Kaytee served as a judicial extern for the Hon. Robert E. Gordon, Illinois Appellate Court, First District. She was an articles editor for the University of Illinois Law Review, received the CALI Award for Excellence in Legal Writing & Analysis, and served as a teaching assistant for first year law students in Legal Writing & Analysis and Introduction to Advocacy. Outside of her legal work, Kaytee is actively involved in her community: she serves as the chair of the Events Committee on the Public Interest Law Initiative’s Young Professionals Board and mentors high school students through Chicago Public Schools.
