SAN FRANCISCO, CA (June 25, 2013) – Attorneys from Littler Mendelson, P.C. (Littler), the world’s largest employment and labor law firm representing management, have been recognized as being among the nation’s most powerful employment attorneys. The firm’s attorneys were featured in the sixth edition of Human Resource Executive® magazine’s, “The Nation’s Most Powerful Employment Attorneys” issue. The list recognizes the top 100 leading corporate-side lawyers; 20 specialists in the areas of immigration, traditional labor law and employee benefits and ERISA; and 40 Up–and–Comers. Additionally, the publication included a new “Hall of Fame” category, featuring Littler’s Chairman of the Board, Garry Mathiason.
In addition to Mathiason, the following Littler shareholders made this year’s list: Robert Friedman (Dallas), Barry A. Hartstein (Chicago), Patrick H. Hicks (Las Vegas), Fermin H. Llaguno (Orange County), Michael J. Lotito (San Francisco), Steven R. McCown (Dallas), Marko J. Mrkonich (Minneapolis), Jeremy A. Roth (San Diego), Robert M. Wolff (Cleveland) and Susan A.P. Woodhouse (San Francisco).
The Hall of Fame category featuring Mathiason is making its debut this year as part of the list. To be considered for this distinction, an attorney must have practiced for 35 years and been consistently recognized for all-around excellence in counseling clients, contributing to the bar and serving as a visionary to improve workplaces.
The Most Powerful Employment Attorney’s list was compiled by Lawdragon, a media company headquartered in Los Angeles. The selection of attorneys was based on evaluations of their backgrounds, evaluations by clients and peers and reporting by Lawdragon staff.
