SAN FRANCISCO (September 12, 2011) – Littler Mendelson, P.C. (Littler), the nation’s largest employment and labor law firm representing management, saw a significant increase in the number of its attorneys named to the Best Lawyers in America® 2012, one of the oldest and most respected peer-review publications in the legal profession. One hundred and eight attorneys from across the firm’s 52 offices were included in the 2012 guide for a total of 173 separate listings (some attorneys were recognized in multiple categories). Last year, 72 Littler lawyers were featured on the list.
“We are proud to see a substantial increase in the number of attorneys named to this year’s guide,” said Marko Mrkonich, president and managing director of the firm. “Being recognized by our peers validates our reputation for providing clients with top quality labor and employment representation and helps to distinguish our position in the marketplace as the leading labor and employment firm across the globe.”
The Best Lawyers guide compiles lists of outstanding attorneys by conducting in-depth surveys in which thousands of lawyers confidentially evaluate their professional peers. The annual publication includes 39,766 attorneys in 80 practice areas, covering all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
About Best Lawyers
Since its inception in 1983, Best Lawyers has become universally regarded as the definitive guide to legal excellence. Because Best Lawyers is based on an exhaustive peer-review survey in which more than 32,000 leading attorneys cast almost two million votes on the legal abilities of other lawyers in their practice areas, and because lawyers are not required or allowed to pay a fee to be listed, inclusion in Best Lawyers is considered a singular honor. Corporate Counsel magazine has called Best Lawyers “the most respected referral list of attorneys in practice.”
