"Littler Ranked #1 in Employment Litigation," Law360.com
Employment Law360, the newswire for labor and employment law professionals, announced in February that "Littler Mendelson PC was retained more frequently than any other firm for federal labor and employment litigation in 2006," according to its survey of the 300 largest U.S. law firms. Littler took on 580 new federal labor and employment cases in 2006, an increase of 114% from the 271 such cases it was retained in during 2005. The results of this February survey follow the results of a similar survey done by Employment Law360 in September, which revealed Littler as the firm that was retained most frequently between July 1, 2005 and June 30, 2006 with 531 lawsuits. The firm's growth has been buoyed by the ever-increasing number of wage and hour suits brought under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and a steady flow of trade secret litigation and traditional labor work, said Marko Mrkonich, President and Managing Director of Littler.
