Paul Newman is a highly skilled litigation attorney with more than 20 years of experience in matters related to employment as well as general liability issues.

He represents Fortune 500 and closely held companies in complex employment matters, and is experienced defending government entities, private employers, and management in claims brought under FEHA, ADA, FMLA, Title Vll and lX, ERISA, and counseling companies in these areas.

Before joining Littler, Paul was counsel at the University of Southern California, and part of the team that oversaw employment and liability litigation at the university.

Paul handled complex and high exposure matters, serving as trial counsel, and staff counsel for large insurance carriers. His scope of work covered both commercial and personal lines of insurance, including wrongful termination, employment issues, wage and hour matters, exempt/time issues, discrimination claims, ADA issues, and intellectual property.

Earlier in his legal career, Paul served as outside counsel and corporate attorney for one of the largest cosmetic manufacturers in the world, helping to manage employment, intellectual property and product liability claims. There, he created a litigation protocol designed to streamline and reduce litigation-related fees and costs across matters in all local jurisdictions in the United States.

While in private practice, Paul focused on litigation and transactional matters, with an emphasis on labor, employment litigation, corporate transactions, and litigation counseling. He counsels entities in the entertainment talent field, advising studios and production companies in various areas of the ever-changing media environment as it relates to labor and employment issues.
