Jodie F. Weinstein has broad experience advising and representing employers of all sizes in various areas of labor and employment law. She defends employers in claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, disability and leave issues, among other employment-related issues. Jodie also counsels clients to help them proactively manage issues in the workplace before disputes arise. She regularly advises clients regarding employee relations matters, leave and accommodation issues, performance management and disciplinary issues, employment agreements, reductions in force, internal investigations, and personnel policies and employee handbooks.
Jodie has significant experience supporting clients as interim in-house employment counsel. In that capacity, she practices as part of the client’s in-house employment legal team or serves as the sole in-house employment lawyer, providing continuity of service while the client needs coverage. During secondment assignments, Jodie partners with the client’s human resources, operations, and legal teams for daily advice and support, responds to regulatory agencies and attorney demands, advises on compliance strategies, advises on investigations, revises and develops legally compliant policies to align with the client’s practices and culture, supports accommodation and leave management as well as restructuring initiatives, and manages outside counsel and litigation.
