As the national conversation grows regarding how to ensure gender equality in the workplace, employers are facing increased pressure to understand their obligations in this fast-changing landscape. This program is geared toward employers, in-house counsel and human resource professionals looking to learn more about some of the most contemporary topics in this space. Attendees will receive a brief overview of the history of equal pay legislation, an update on recent judicial and legislative developments in this area, and compliance guidelines and recommendations for dealing with this rapidly evolving area of the law. Attendees will also receive an update on the status of current protections for transgender employees in California and recommendations on accommodating gender transitions in the workplace. Finally, attendees will receive an overview of legal and practical considerations for the implementation of diversity and inclusion initiatives.
