U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and Commerce Secretary Gary Locke will host another live web chat on Wednesday, May 5 at 11:30 A.M. EDT to discuss, among other things, the Early Retiree Reinsurance Program (ERRP) and how it will affect businesses that chose to provide health insurance to retired workers. The ERRP is the temporary cost assistance program instituted as part of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). The agency recently released interim final regulations to implement this program.
This web chat is the sixth in a series of webinars hosted by HHS to explain how the recently enacted health care bill will impact various sectors of society. Past chats can be viewed at https://www.healthcare.gov/.
