The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has announced that it will discuss the EEO law implications of social media use in the workplace during a public meeting next week. Topics to be addressed include how social media plays a role in recruitment and hiring, harassment, and records retention and discovery.
The public session will take place on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. ET in the Commission Meeting Room on the First Floor of the EEOC Office Building, 131 "M" Street, NE, Washington, D.C. 20507. Because of space constraints, those wishing to attend the meeting are advised to arrive at least 30 minutes in advance. Additional information will be made available here.
