LOS ANGELES, CA (May 19, 2011) – Littler Mendelson, P.C. (Littler), the nation's largest employment and labor law firm representing management, today announced that Margaret Gillespie, a lawyer with more than 20 years of experience representing management in a variety of employment matters, has joined the firm. Gillespie will be a shareholder in the firm's Los Angeles office.
Prior to joining Littler, Gillespie was a shareholder at Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart's Los Angeles office. Gillespie has a broad range of experience representing employers in all types of employment matters, including complex employment litigation, class action avoidance and defense, ERISA claims for benefits, and single and multi-plaintiff cases involving claims for wrongful termination, harassment, and discrimination. Gillespie also counsels clients on a variety of employment practices and issues, including employment contracts and release agreements, reductions in force, and employee handbooks and policies. Her clients include companies in the financial services, manufacturing, healthcare, hospitality, and retail industries.
