Anyone who spent time with Martha Llano agrees that she brought great enthusiasm and dedication to her role as office administrator for the New York and Newark offices. A strong supporter of professional development, Martha was always counted on to spearhead a new project or deliver a presentation at the semi-annual NOMAD meeting.
Martha brought a wealth of valuable experience in legal administration when she joined Littler in October of 2002. She was an OA Team leader for the Northeast and very involved with the group overall from day one; she made colleagues feel welcome in New York or in any city she visited. Martha was a strong supporter of diversity and had recently been named to the Diversity Council's Advisory Group in recognition of her commitment and involvement.
Outside of Littler, Martha was also very active in the legal community. She was President Elect of the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA) and would have assumed the role as president this spring. Martha began her involvement in ALA in 1990 and quickly moved up the ranks of the organization in part because of her passion for professional development.
In describing Martha, most would cite her great sense of humor and her zest for life and great capacity for friendship. Many of us were touched by Martha on both a professional and personal level and will miss her greatly.
"Memory is the only friend of grief."
