SEATTLE (April 13, 2021) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has appointed Ryan Hammond as regional office managing shareholder (OMS) of the firm’s Pacific Northwest offices, effective immediately. Hammond will lead the Anchorage, Alaska and Portland, Oregon offices, in addition to his current OMS role in Seattle. Hammond succeeds Douglas Parker, who has stepped down from the role to focus on his active practice.
"Ryan is the ideal candidate to take the helm of all three offices,” said Erin Webber, managing director of Littler. “His steady guidance, strategic thinking and demonstrated leadership will be instrumental in further building our regional teams, as well as enhancing Littler’s business efforts across the Pacific Northwest. I look forward to the firm’s continued expansion and success in the region."
Hammond represents management in proceedings and unfair labor practices before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and in employment discrimination and wage and hour litigation, including class actions. He advises employers in noncompetition, nonsolicitation and trade secret matters. Additionally, he frequently speaks on employment law topics to lawyers, labor relations professionals and human resources professionals.
“I am excited about the opportunity to lead our talented teams in Anchorage, Portland and Seattle while further growing our footprint throughout the region as we remain steadfast in our focus on delivering world-class employment counsel to our clients,” Hammond added.
Hammond is a member of the American Academy of Trial Lawyers and the Defense Research Institute. He has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America© since 2018. Hammond earned his J.D. from the Williamette University College of Law and his B.A. from the University of Washington.
