HOUSTON (June 29, 2016) – Yvette Gatling, a shareholder in the Houston office of Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has been named a recipient of the second annual Rick Palmore Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Fellows Alumni Award. Gatling is one of two honorees selected for this year’s distinguished award.
“As a firm deeply committed to diversity and inclusion, we are proud of Yvette’s achievement,” said Kelley Edwards, Houston office managing shareholder. “Yvette is a tireless advocate for increasing diversity and inclusion within the legal community and we look forward to her continued contributions to Littler, LCLD and the overall profession.”
The Rick Palmore Award recognizes LCLD Fellows Alumni who have made significant contributions in furthering the mission and programs for LCLD Fellows, Fellows Alumni, and other LCLD participants. Recipients are selected based on their lifetime of achievements, continued involvement with LCLD Fellows Alumni and events, and being a leader in his/her chosen field of practice.

In addition to her involvement in LCLD, Gatling is an active member of the National Employment Law Council where she serves on the Board of Directors. Gatling is also a member of the American Bar Association, the Houston Bar Association and the Houston Lawyers Association. She received her J.D. from Louisiana State University and her B.A. from North Carolina State University.
