MEXICO CITY/MONTERREY (February 7, 2019) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has named León Rodríguez as office managing shareholder (OMS) of its Mexico City and Monterrey offices. The firm also elevated Monterrey-based attorney David Leal to shareholder.

As a native of Mexico City, León is deeply familiar with the local business and legal issues facing employers. León Rodríguez represents clients in trials before the Boards of Conciliation and Arbitration, circuit collegiate courts and district courts. His practice focuses on labor-related litigation, including labor relationship termination proceedings and research, and handling notifications before the Office of Work Defense. Rodríguez also has extensive experience drafting individual labor contracts, internal regulations and labor policies, as well as wage receipts, applications for declarations of fundamental rights, and injunctions on judicial claims and revisions.
Rodríguez earned his law degree from Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León.
David Leal advises employers on labor law and social security issues. He represents clients before the Labor Board of Conciliation and Arbitration in all matters relating to collective labor agreements. Leal has experience negotiating with unions for the revision of collective bargaining agreements, as well as the termination of collective labor relations. In addition, he counsels clients regarding confidential and unionized hiring procedures and employee terminations, and has assisted clients in performing legal audits and due diligence.
Leal earned his law degree from Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey.
