Overview

Peter Wendzel is Special Counsel on the Class Action Counsel team and is based in Florida. As a brief writer assigned to class, collective, mass, and representative actions, Peter formulates and executes briefing strategy. He evaluates and selects legal authority that supports the facts and circumstances of each case and prepares substantive briefs and motions, including complex dispositive motions, oppositions to class certification, motions to compel arbitration, mediation briefs, and other strategic briefs.

Peter joined Littler in 2021 as a brief writer focused on class and collective actions, and he brings to bear his extensive experience both as outside counsel and insights gained as an in-house lawyer. Peter has been practicing since 1992, having risen to partner with two major firms as well as having worked for nearly 15 years as in-house counsel for a leading hospitality company with more than 15,000 employees, rising to the level of Senior Vice President in charge of both Litigation and Employment. Peter has personally handled or overseen thousands of cases, including scores of cases alleging class, collective, and PAGA claims. He has significant trial experience, including taking a dozen cases to and through trial. Peter has been spent more than three decades litigating employment law cases.
