Overview

Katie E. Towery represents employers in a broad range of employment litigation matters on a regional and national basis. Katie also provides practical and business-forward advice to clients regarding all aspects of the employment relationship. 

Katie has extensive experience in litigating and advising clients on matters involving:

  • Discrimination, retaliation, and harassment claims under federal and state equal employment opportunity laws
  • Wrongful discharge claims
  • Noncompete and trade secrets agreements
  • Disability accommodations and leaves of absence
  • Corporate investigations and risk management

Katie represents clients in state and federal court in South Carolina, as well as before various federal and state agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the South Carolina Human Affairs Commission, the South Carolina Department of Labor, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

Prior to joining Littler, Katie practiced in the Greenville office of a national law firm, where she represented clients in state and federal court on employment and business-related matters.
