Jenny Buck represents employers on a wide variety of employment matters at all stages of litigation. Jenny has litigated and mediated claims of employment discrimination, harassment, and retaliation before various administrative agencies and state and federal courts in Kansas and Missouri. She has successfully tried an employment case involving fraudulent and intentional misrepresentation claims in Missouri state court. She has argued before the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals and successfully upheld the grant of summary judgment in favor of a healthcare client. In addition, Jenny advises and counsels employers on various workplace issues, including related to hiring, discipline, leaves of absence, accommodations, discrimination and harassment allegations, and termination. Jenny has also conducted workplace investigations.
During law school, Jenny interned for the Hon. Julie A. Robinson of the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas. She was an articles editor for the Kansas Law Review, a Lawyering Skills teaching assistant, and a Dean's Fellow. Jenny received CALI Awards for the highest grade in the class in Lawyering Skills I, Lawyering Skills II, Professional Responsibility, Administrative Law, and Conflict of Laws, as well as several additional academic awards. She also served as a federal law clerk for the Hon. Willie J. Epps, Jr. at the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri.
