As a member of the Littler CaseSmart – Charges™ team and based in Pennsylvania, Carla P. Maresca is responsible for handling charges from investigation to conclusion. She works on client-dedicated service teams, focusing on handling administrative agency charges. She investigates charge allegations, reviews pertinent documents, interviews key witnesses, and provides clients an assessment of the risks associated with the charge. In partnership with the client, she defends the charge by drafting persuasive position statements and responses to the agency’s requests for information.
Carla brings 28 years of experience as a litigator and appellate practitioner. Carla served as the co-chair of the employment law team at her prior firm. She has represented municipalities, schools, small businesses, for profit and nonprofit corporations. She has handled all aspects of employment law including consulting, contract negotiations, and discrimination litigation from inception through termination of the claim.
Carla’s knowledgeable and skillful handling of both litigation matters and employee counseling and training has earned her widespread respect among clients and opposing counsel. Carla is regularly invited to present seminars and continuing legal education. She has served as a private arbitrator or mediator, and volunteered her time as a judge pro tem for the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas.
