Overview

Taylor D. Lawson represents and provides clients with solutions for labor relations issues. Taylor’s national and local practice includes representing employers of all sizes in various aspects of traditional labor law, including:

  • Union election and organizing drives under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA)
  • Collective bargaining negotiations
  • Labor arbitrations and grievances
  • Unfair labor practice charges

Taylor also devotes her practice to counseling and training employers on a broad range of labor and employment related matters including discrimination and harassment issues and inclusive culture and belonging. 

Prior to joining Littler, Taylor was an associate at a Jackson, Tennessee, law firm where she focused on labor and employment law. During law school, Taylor served as symposium editor for the Tennessee Journal on Race, Gender & Social Justice and president of the Marilyn Yarbrough Chapter of the Black Law Student Association. Taylor’s article, “The Right to Reentry: A Look at the Unemployment Crisis for Individuals with Criminal Records and Tennessee’s Efforts to Solve the Problem” was published in the Tennessee Journal on Race, Gender & Social Justice.

As a part of her legal work, Taylor continues to play a role in community engagement. Taylor is the co-author of “The Brown Girl’s Guide to College” and “The Book of Success and Scholarship” and is the co-founder of The Cooperative, a 501(c)3 whose mission is to combine knowledge and further diversity in academic and professional settings through workshops, mentoring and the development of guidebooks.
