FRESNO, Calif. (March 22, 2022) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has added Michelle Ann Clark as a shareholder in its Fresno office. Clark, who was previously a partner with Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, has extensive experience in technology-focused litigation, including patent and trade secret litigation. Following the addition of shareholder Gerardo Hernandez in Fresno last year, Clark’s arrival further expands the firm’s team and presence in Central California.
“Adding a lawyer of Michelle Ann’s caliber, who is a trusted advisor to some of the most influential technology companies, will be of immense benefit to our growing Fresno team and clients,” said Erin Webber, Littler’s managing director and president. “Michelle Ann brings an impressive track record helping companies protect their trade secrets and proprietary information, and we are thrilled to welcome her to the Littler team.”
Clark has represented technology companies in a range of industries in intellectual property and commercial litigation. Her experience includes successfully representing clients in cases involving patent and trade secret claims, breach of contract allegations, and unfair competition matters. With in-depth knowledge of both software and hardware technologies, Clark has tried and litigated cases in state and federal courts across the country.
“Michelle Ann is an experienced, respected litigator who deeply understands the role technology plays in the workplace and on business outcomes,” said Gary Bethel, Littler’s Fresno office managing shareholder. “Her experience helping employers avoid litigation and, when necessary, successfully resolve trade secret disputes in court will help our clients in California and nationally maintain their competitive edge and protect valuable company assets.”
“I’m excited to join such a diverse and forward-thinking firm, with a long-time presence in and commitment to the Central Valley of California,” Clark said. “Littler is a great fit for me and my practice because the firm is not only committed to helping clients protect their most essential resources, but also to advancing and creating new solutions that improve the way legal services are delivered. I look forward to collaborating with my new colleagues to serve my current clients and further expand my practice regionally and nationally.”
Clark received her J.D. from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law where she was on the Dean’s List and an editor for the Northwestern University Law Review. She received her B.A. in political science and economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
