(December 7, 2017) – Littler Global member Godoy Córdoba Abogados, a leading labor and employment law firm in Colombia, has added Andrés DaCosta Herrera as a partner in the firm’s Bogota office.
DaCosta, whose career spans more than 20 years, focuses his legal practice on labor consulting and litigation. He counsels clients in a range of industries, including the oil, petrochemical and international cooperation sectors. DaCosta will co-administer the firm’s litigation department alongside partner Gustavo Gnecco.
“Andrés is among the best Colombian labor lawyers and has an impressive background representing clients before first and second instance courts and before the High Courts,” said Andrés Godoy, managing partner of Godoy Córdoba Abogados. “We are excited to welcome Andrés back to the firm, and know that his experience and knowledge will support our mission to provide the best labor, employment and immigration services in Colombia, as well as around the world drawing on the Littler Global platform.”
DaCosta was a lawyer with Godoy Córdoba Abogados from 1997 to 1999, and then served as general proxy on labor issues for Codensa S.A. E.S.P., a company that distributes and sells energy across Colombia. He joins Godoy Córdoba Abogados from Herrera Laboralistas, a boutique he founded in 2004.
“Godoy Córdoba Abogados has continued to grow its attorney ranks and deepen its capabilities since our firms joined forces in 2013,” said Tom Bender and Jeremy Roth, co-managing directors of Littler, in a joint statement. “Along with the recent addition of Gustavo, a former magistrate of the Supreme Court of Justice in Colombia, Andrés’ arrival will further bolster the services we provide to clients operating in Latin America.”
DaCosta has served as a professor at several universities in Colombia and has authored multiple articles on labor law issues.
