On May 11, 2016, the Defend Trade Secrets Act of 2016 (S.1890) (DTSA) was enacted. The DTSA provides a new federal court civil remedy for acts of trade secret misappropriation. The DTSA finally gives trade secret owners a federal law to address trade secret misappropriation.
