The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) reached major milestones in FY 2015. The agency celebrated its 50th anniversary, plus the 25th anniversary for the Americans with Disabilities Act. As significantly, the EEOC was a party to two cases before the U.S. Supreme Court, EEOC v Mach Mining, LLC and EEOC v Abercrombie, and had a prominent role in Young v UPS because the impact of the agency’s 2014 guidance on pregnancy discrimination was discussed by the Court.

This webinar will review various highlights from Littler’s Annual Report on EEOC Developments - Fiscal Year 2015, which provides a comprehensive overview of the significant cases, regulatory developments and other activities involving the EEOC. This session will review key EEOC developments in FY 2015 and what to anticipate in FY 2016.

Topics:

  • Key statistics, including review of data involving systemic investigations and related litigation
  • Review of EEOC’s success and major losses in FY 2015
  • Littler’s Top Ten List of What to Watch for in FY 2016
  • The View from Washington and noteworthy regulatory developments
