NASHVILLE, TN (April 26, 2011) – Littler Mendelson, P.C. (Littler), the nation's largest employment and labor law firm representing management, announced today the opening of its 51st office in Nashville, TN. The firm is also pleased to welcome two new shareholders, Jennifer Robinson and C. Eric Stevens.
"We are thrilled to have two highly-regarded attorneys—Jennifer and Eric—join the firm," said Marko Mrkonich, president and managing director of Littler. "Aside from their outstanding reputations, both shareholders possess strong litigation experience and superior labor and employment law expertise. Their arrival and the opening of our Nashville office further strengthen the firm's ability to provide comprehensive services to our clients in Tennessee and throughout the region."
Prior to joining Littler, Robinson was co-chair of Miller & Martin's Wage and Hour and California Employment Law practice groups. She has significant litigation experience including discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination claims, as well as failure to accommodate and breach of contract claims. She has also represented several national employers in wage and hour class and collective actions involving claims of off-the-clock work, meal, and rest period violations, unpaid wages, and misclassification of exempt employees.
Robinson counsels and trains employers on employment matters such as hiring/firing, employment contracts, and how to comply with wage and hour laws. She is a member of a number of professional organizations including the American Bar Association's Labor and Employment Section, the Lawyers' Association for Women, and the Women Lawyers Alliance.
Before joining Miller & Martin, Robinson was an attorney at Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison, and Hanson, Bridgett, Marcus, Vlahos, and Rudy in San Francisco, CA. She received her J.D. from Vanderbilt University School of Law and B.A. from the University of Virginia. She is admitted to practice in the California and Tennessee state bars.
Stevens brings over 25 years of labor and employment practice experience to Littler and was previously a member of Miller & Martin's Labor and Employment and Health Care practice groups. He is experienced in representing union and non-union employers in contract negotiations, arbitrations and union-free election campaigns. His litigation experience includes class action claims under anti-discrimination laws and federal and state wage and hour laws.
To assist clients in compliance and litigation avoidance, Stevens conducts in-house training for management on labor and employment issues. He also provides guidance in developing affirmative action plans and representation during audits by the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs. Stevens is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association. He has been recognized in Best Lawyers in America for labor and employment work since 2007 and was recognized as a Super Lawyer in both Nashville and the Southeast region.
Stevens has spoken and written extensively on labor and employment law issues. He received his J.D. from Vanderbilt University School of Law and B.S. summa cum laude from Millikin University. He is admitted to practice in the Georgia and Tennessee state bars.
"I am delighted to be joining Littler, and look forward to working with such an exceptional group of attorneys," said Robinson.
Stevens echoed Robinson's sentiments. "The firm's deep collective knowledge base, and regional, national, and international reach will allow us to provide clients with the best in labor and employment representation while still providing a very personal level of service."
