My Breakfast with Marty: A Conversation with New Seattle OLS Director Marty Garfinkel and Review of Seattle’s Employment Law Ordinances

Doing business or thinking of doing business in Seattle? This is a must-attend event. The program will begin with remarks from the new Director of the Seattle Office of Labor Standards, Marty Garfinkel, who will provide insight into OLS's current enforcement efforts and future policy objectives. Attendees will then have the opportunity to ask Director Garfinkel their own questions about complying with Seattle's complicated maze of employment law ordinances. The program will then review the current state of Seattle's secure scheduling and paid sick leave ordinances. Attendees will learn about who is covered by the ordinances, required employee notices and policies, compliance strategies, and current enforcement efforts by OLS.
