This program is designed for human resource professionals, in-house counsel and business owners.

This program provides an overview of California’s latest major employment laws affecting employers, including new bills signed into law that you should keep in mind. Learn more about the significant developments in employment law, their impact on your human resource and employment practices, and actions for dealing with the changing workplace.

In 2014 and 2015, there will be a slew of new laws for the Golden State's private sector employers on subjects including:

  • Expanded whistleblower protections
  • Penalties and rights related to immigration status
  • Union issues
  • Expanded rights to driver's licenses
  • Changes in public contracting
  • Changes in leaves of absence

This program will also be held in San Jose on February 5, 2014 and in San Francisco on February 11, 2014.
