Health care employers nationwide could face increased worker absences due to an upcoming "National Nurses United Rally." The three-day "rally and lobby" event will be held in Washington, D.C., May 10-12, 2010. Health care employers should consider how to treat any absences resulting from participation in the event. Past labor rallies and demonstrations have placed employers in a similar position.
