Reportedly, 300,000 businesses are on Facebook and 80% of companies use LinkedIn to recruit. Do you have a policy on social media as a business tool? 80% of Twitter usage is on a mobile device, which the overwhelming majority of employees carry. Do you think your employees never tweet when working or driving on company business? Are you tracking business-related, after-hours texts by hourly employees for overtime purposes? Generation Y & Z consider email passé and prefer to communicate via systems outside of the private networks employers provide.
