Ariel Perez advises and represents employers in matters of employment law and labor relations before federal and state courts, federal agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the National Labor Relations Board, and state employment agencies. She has a national and local practice representing employers on various aspects of traditional labor law, including union elections, organizing drives, and unfair labor practice charges under the National Labor Relations Act.
Ariel regularly leads clients through representation elections, defends unfair labor practice charges, performs union avoidance training sessions, and provides advice and counsel regarding labor management relations.
Ariel also devotes her practice to counseling and defending employers in a broad range of labor and employment related matters including federal wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation matters. In addition to her litigation practice, Ariel routinely advises clients on pre-litigation resolution strategies and has experience reviewing and drafting policies, handbooks and agreements, including separation agreements.
Ariel also has experience providing employee training sessions and conducting internal investigations. She represents a diverse group of clients across different industries, including healthcare, manufacturing, restaurants/food and beverage industry, and retail.
Prior to joining Littler, Ariel represented clients in complex commercial litigation, breach of fiduciary duty, wrongful termination, retaliation, products liability, fraud, and negligence matters.
During law school, Ariel served as a judicial intern to the Hon. Sara L. Darrow of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois.
