LEXINGTON, Kentucky (January 8, 2019) – LaToi Mayo, a shareholder in the Lexington office of Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has been appointed to the 2019 Commerce Lexington (CLX) Board of Directors. CLX seeks to promote economic development, job creation and overall business growth in Lexington and its neighboring communities.

CLX was formed in January 2004 with the merger of the Greater Lexington Chamber of Commerce, Lexington United and the Lexington Partnership for Workforce Development. It was created to provide more continuity and enhanced focus in the areas of business, economic and workforce development.
Mayo has advised, counseled and defended employers in regard to labor and employment matters for over 18 years. She excels at enforcing employment-related arbitration agreements, defending and managing wage and hour class action lawsuits and advising employers on state and federal labor, employment and wage and hour compliance issues. Mayo routinely assists employers with respect to diversity, discrimination and leave issues. She works frequently with hospitality and service-related groups, manufacturers, healthcare facilities, financial institutions and local city governments. She has received many recognitions, including The Best Lawyers in America© and Chambers USA.
Mayo earned her J.D. and her B.A., cum laude, from the University of Kentucky.
