(May 25, 2017) Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has named Shareholder Yvette V. Gatling, based in the firm’s Houston office, as co-chair of the firm’s Healthcare Industry Group, joining Boston Shareholder and Co-Chair Anthony Rizzotti. Gatling succeeds Rob Wolff, who will continue to focus on his active practice representing healthcare employers and clients in the energy, transportation, financial and retail industries.

Gatling focuses her practice on discrimination and harassment claims, wage and hour issues, employment practices audits and financial services. She represents employers in state and federal courts, as well as before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Department of Labor. Gatling also handles claims that arise under the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Family and Medical Leave Act.
Active in the legal community, Gatling is a member of the American Bar Association, the Houston Bar Association, the Houston Lawyers Association and the Order of the Coif. She was Littler’s first Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) fellow and received the Rick Palmore LCLD Fellows Alumni Award in 2016. This award, named for Rick Palmore Founding Chair Emeritus of LCLD, recognizes outstanding achievements, commitments and leadership of LCLD Fellows Alumni who assist with the advancement of LCLD Fellows, Fellows Alumni and other LCLD program participants.
Gatling received her J.D. from Louisiana State University and her B.A. from North Carolina State University.
