Recent events throughout the U.S. have employers on even higher alert for workplace violence issues. Employers continue to grapple with what measures they should take - or are legally obligated to take - to keep employees safe from harm, including under the federal Occupational Health and Safety Act's “general duty" clause, which requires employers to provide a safe workplace for employees.

Discussion topics include:

  • What policies and practices should employers have in place to increase awareness, recognition and reporting of actual or potential incidents of workplace violence
  • What are some warning signs of workplace violence
  • How best can employers assess the risk of workplace violence and deploy appropriate measures when potential issues arise

Registration: 12:00 - 12:30 pm

Program: 12:30 - 2:00 pm

Continuing Education

CLE, SPHR/PHR and SHRM certifications are pending approval.
