Working on Overtime: What to Expect in 2018

Thursday, December 14, 2017

  • 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM PST

Few expected the Trump administration to appeal the Texas court's grant of a permanent injunction finding the 2016 overtime rule unlawful - and then move to stay that Fifth Circuit appeal. What does all of this mean for employers in 2018?

Tammy McCutchen, ComplianceHR's VP of strategy and former DOL wage and hour administrator, will explain what these recent actions mean for employers. Tammy will discuss the practical importance of the DOL's Request for Information (RFI) process and share her insights on what employers might expect in new revised rulemaking. Will we see a new salary threshold, and what range might employers expect? Is the duties test likely to change? If so, how might it change and what are the implications? When should employers expect to see a revised rule - and more important - how should employers prepare to comply?
