Women’s Leadership Initiative Roundtable Discussion: Work-From-Home Status, Diversity Panacea or Diversity Quagmire?

Thursday, November 12, 2020

  • 12:00 PM - 1:15 PM PST

Is working from home making it easier to attract and retain a diverse workforce or is it creating obstacles to diversity? Are you feeling like working from home is the means to finally achieving work-life balance or were you already burned out in April?

At Littler, diversity is fundamental to who we are. We believe a culture that prioritizes inclusivity leads to better outcomes – for both our clients and us. There are many who think working from home promotes a more inclusive workplace on the basis of protected characteristics, such as gender, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, race, religion, age, and disability. Others believe it has the opposite impact.

This will be a guided discussion with our esteemed panelists as they share their views on the pros and cons of working from home while seeking to develop and maintain inclusivity. Each panelist will offer guidance to both employers and employees on how to navigate a path that promotes diversity and brings positive lasting change to the American workplace.
