In light of ongoing changes in federal and state regulations, such as the recent amendments to the Fair Labor Standards Act's (FLSA) salary basis test for white collar overtime exemptions, wage and hour compliance continues to be one of the most difficult legal challenges facing employers.

In addition to the exemption rule, there are predictions that contractors, project-based labor and freelance workers may soon account for more than 40 percent of the world's total workforce. As the structure of the modern workplace continues to evolve, employers must stay constantly vigilant of new wage and hour developments affecting their workforce to minimize legal risks.

This program will provide guidance on the Department of Labor's (DOL) regulations and practical advice on current trends in wage and hour law.
