Tales from the Trenches: Updates and Practical Guidance for Healthcare Employers on COVID-19

Given the continued issues medical facilities are facing due to the spread of the COVID-19 virus, Littler attorneys will be presenting a webinar to focus exclusively on issues unique to healthcare employers. This webinar is designed to give the most up-to-date information and to provide attendees with the key information on many of the common questions Littler is receiving related to issues in the healthcare industry.
We will address a wide range of healthcare employment-related issues and best practices, including:
- The latest OSHA enforcement guidance specific to the healthcare industry and recommendations to handle known exposure situations
- How to avoid retaliation claims when employees who have been off work for COVID-19 related issues return
- Wage and hour issues, such as reducing hours and pay, incentive or “hazard" pay, and donning/doffing pay
- Strategies to deal with challenges presented by organized labor, such as redeployment of staff, refusal to work as assigned, PPE shortages and demands to bargain over incentive pay
The webinar will also include a 15 minute question and answer session, to address participants' specific concerns. Participants can submit questions in advance by completing the registration form.
