The Present – and Future – of Working Remotely

Thursday, November 12, 2020

  • 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM PST

In the wake of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and beyond, much of the workforce has been sheltering in place and performing daily responsibilities remotely. This circumstance presents unique legal and practical issues for all leaders. With varying degrees of enthusiasm, employers are recognizing that COVID-19 will usher in a new era of telework even after sheltering restrictions are relaxed. While many employers likely have a telework policy in place, such arrangements have (until now) applied only sporadically and on a smaller scale.

This webinar will focus on the legal and practical considerations for those employees who will remain on WFH status, including developing policies and agreements to:

  • Provide or reimburse employees for expenses such as internet, phone, or office equipment
  • Securely transmit documents that require review and signature
  • Comply with safe workplace laws
  • Determine the laws that apply when an employee is working remote
