Far too often, employers are faced with difficult issues surrounding infectious disease in the workplace. Perhaps an employee mentions in passing that he or she has a contagious disease or was exposed to someone who has such a disease. Or sometimes, an employee is scheduled for business travel to an area of the country or world where there is an infectious disease outbreak.

When these situations occur, employers are faced with several difficult questions regarding safety and health practices, medical inquiries, vaccinations, and many others. These issues cut across several areas of employment law, including OSHA and the Americans with Disabilities Act.

This session will peel away the various issues involved and provide employers concrete guidance on what to do when faced with these difficult situations.
