The Implications of Changes to the Fair Labor Standards Act

President Barack Obama issued a memorandum to the Secretary of Labor on March 13, 2014, directing the Secretary to modernize and streamline the existing Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime regulations for executive, administrative, and professional employees. The Department of Labor is expected to publish the proposed rules in June 2015.
