Littler has partnered with Nixon Law Group to provide updates about key issues for healthcare employers.

Healthcare systems continue to be targeted by labor organizations, particularly in nursing. Hear from Littler about the latest union tactics, including corporate campaigns, and learn more about how to engage with your teams.

All signs from the healthcare industry also indicate a shift to value-based care delivery and reimbursement is “full steam ahead.” The move away from the traditional fee-for-service model towards accountability for cost and outcomes means that employers have ratcheted up their expectations when it comes to identifying and hiring physicians and other healthcare providers. Medicare’s new Quality Payment Program, with MIPS reporting requirements and Advanced Alternative Payment Models, is shining a spotlight on individual physician performance. Employers must align provider incentives with the quality/cost metrics in value-based reimbursement models that are rapidly becoming the norm for Medicare and commercial payers, all while steering clear of the fraud and abuse laws.
