Controversial Labor Aspects of the Pharmaceutical Industry
This event aims to create an interactive forum for members of the pharmaceutical industry to discuss relevant aspects of employment and labor law and legal challenges. Topics to be discussed include:
Management and international corruption issues
- Corruption on the sales of medicine to the government, how other countries deal with this issue and whether it is a reality outside Brazil
- Best practices regarding investigation and discipline, especially involving high-level executives
Employment issues with the sales workforce
- Is there a distinction between promoters and salespeople and/or specific employment related regulations?
- Overtime pay, exempt vs non-exempt, travel time
- Variable compensation
- Unions
- Peculiarities regarding the pharma industry
The sessions will be conducted in Portuguese, English and Spanish.
