Jared E. Calderon advises clients on a broad range of employment-related matters. Jared frequently drafts and reviews various employment agreements, offer letters, applications for employment, compensation agreements, multistate employee handbooks and internal policies, including paid sick and safe leave, accommodation and leaves of absence. He regularly works with legal and human resources departments to help clients navigate intricate compliance challenges. Jared has also performed workplace investigations, policy audits and provided counseling on issues such as wage compliance, restrictive covenants, reductions in force and discrimination.
Prior to joining Litter, Jared was an associate in a national law firm’s labor and employment group. He previously was a judicial intern to the Hon. Kristina A. Karle, at the State of New York County Court, County of Ontario, as well as to the Hon. Charles J. Siragusa, at the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York.
While in law school, Jared served as a notes and comments editor for the Syracuse Journal of Science and Technology, and was an arguing member of the Advocacy Honor Society’s Trial Division (i.e., moot court).
