MINNEAPOLIS (October 9, 2019) – Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has appointed Susan K. Fitzke as office managing shareholder (OMS) of the firm’s Minneapolis office. Fitzke succeeds Shirley Lerner, who has stepped down from the role to focus on her active practice.
“Shirley played a key role in the growth and success of the firm’s Minneapolis office, and we thank her for the contributions she made during her time as OMS,” said Tom Bender and Jeremy Roth, co-managing directors of Littler, in a joint statement. “We are excited to have Susan serve in this role, and we look forward to her further building upon the solid foundation Shirley has established in the local market.”
Fitzke routinely counsels employers regarding a wide range of issues, including hiring, nondiscrimination, whistleblowing, accommodations, family and medical leave, dealing with problem employees, reductions in force, policies, and training. Fitzke also represents employers in all stages of litigation in state and federal court, from administrative proceedings, to discovery and motion practice, to trials and appeals. Fitzke works closely with clients to identify practical and effective solutions to their employment challenges.
Fitzke received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School and her B.A., with honors, from the James Madison College at Michigan State University.
