(Littler), the nation's largest employment and labor law firm representing management, today announced the arrival of two new shareholders to its Birmingham, Alabama office: Charles Powell and Jennifer Swain, both formerly with Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC.

Powell is a seasoned trial attorney and has represented employers across the Southeast for more than 17 years. His practice focuses on defending employers against discrimination and harassment, non-competition and wage and hour charges. He has successfully represented clients in the full-range of employment disputes, including discrimination, harassment, and retaliation under federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws and claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Powell received his J.D. from the University of Alabama, School of Law, M.P.A. from the University of Alabama and B.S. from Vanderbilt University. He is admitted to practice in Alabama and Florida.
Swain represents management in employment matters of all types. She regularly appears in courts throughout the Southeast, as well as in front of federal and state agencies such as the Department of Labor and the EEOC. Drawing from her litigation experience, she advises employers on issues relating to compliance with various employment discrimination statutes, rules and regulations, and counsels employers on day-to-day personnel issues. She also assists employers with the development, drafting, implementation and enforcement of workplace policies and procedures, including mandatory arbitration programs. Swain received her J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School cum laude and B.A. from the University of Notre Dame cum laude. She is admitted to practice in Alabama.
