Oregon Employment Law Update: Legislators Debate Big New Changes

Wednesday, March 10, 2021

  • 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM PST

The 2021 Oregon legislative session has only just begun, yet already several bills have been introduced that would radically change the employment law landscape and incur substantial new burdens on business. These include a private attorney general act modeled after a similar California law that has proved devastating to small businesses, and a potential weakening of anti-discrimination and harassment laws, including removal of the last few barriers preventing minor workplace interpersonal disputes from becoming full-blown lawsuits. Anthony Kuchulis will lead a comprehensive discussion of these new measures as they are debated, their likelihood of passage, and steps business leaders can take today to prevent or prepare for the most damaging potential changes.
